The Education Management and Technology course (EDUC 560) is very exciting, engaging, and meaningful to me not only as a teacher, but also, as a person living in a world of desperate change. As a digital immigrant, I always feel the need of exploring and navigating through the latest (most updated) knowledge; that of the Web 2.0. To be honest, I have never attended a course as practical as such. However, no matter how long I seemed to be familiar to some topics, tools, and programs, I've always found something new in the EDUC 560 course to update my humble archive of experience with. In such a little time I have learnt and applied much. I’ve learned how to design and create my own Business Card; that I will certainly use in authentic situations. I have registered in an online program that inspires and fosters worldwide educational projects. I have created a Gmail account of my own. I have attended a meaningful webinar that calls for sparking creativity. I’ve attended a workshop entitled LAU/Levant Continuing Professional Development: Using Technology in Schools. All this without forgetting the energetic experience I had in creating my Scientific Poster. Now, I am designing my own blog; my virtual world of thoughts and experiences. Our next target will be creating a webquest. I admit it; I am obsessed with this course. I really want to benefit from the tiniest information and absorb, even assimilate and penetrate, the knowledge and skills because this is what I need as an effective being predestined to live in the arena of a restless digital era. Therefore, no matter how much stress of the unknown or the new experience I might encounter, no matter how long the internet connection fails to help me sending, receiving, or even posting comments, no matter how much I will spend surfing, checking, and trying, I will be patient; after all, I made my mind and I am convinced that tenacity to keep trying is my key to success. At last, I would like to send my gratitude and thank my professor, Miss Amal Farhat, for her patience and great effort, and I want her to know that she really made a difference in my (if not our) life (lives).
Welcome to my virtual world; a world full with miscellaneous explorations and adventures that embrace personal, academic, artistic, educational, and many other experiences. You are most welcomed to become a passenger and share me this journey. I am looking forwards attaining your fruitful comments. Have a pleasurable flight!

Oh yes Iman, I do agree. Mrs. Amal has made a huge difference. In this course in particular, we were/are introduced to things many of us unaware of before. I myself have been learning new things every single session. I really loved the idea of having our own blogs, a real space to express ourselves as free and open as we like, and I liked the way you introduced your blog.. Hope you all the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really would like to see some of your reflections on other posts, to be honest I have read some of your comments (especially those at linked in and on your blog)and they were appealing to my interest, your ideas added more perspective to my thoughts!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pleasure having both of you in class. Your input is really enriching.
